THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated, experienced Product Engineer to join our team. Microvellum Product Engineers are a key component to the organizations success. They develop dynamic and intuitive libraries of products (i.e., cabinetry, furniture, fixtures, etc.) used to demonstrate the software as well as provide users with a springboard to help them quickly achieve productivity with the software. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and testing product libraries for manufacturing, helping support clients & technicians with their libraries, and leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach and guide others.
Responsibilities include engineering product data, writing test scripts, integrating hardware per manufacturers specifications, producing rendered help images, documenting best practices, and other important tasks. Product Engineers are part of a development team, meeting regularly with management and other software developers to create world-class solutions for the woodworking industry. CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work within the Product Engineering team to create, test, maintain, & expand the existing collection of products we ship with our software (cabinets, store fixtures, closets, office furniture, etc.).
- Communicate internally with other technicians and service providers to help resolve data issues.
- Developing new content such as cabinet drawer systems/slides, hinges, fixing hardware, rendered help images, etc.
- Assist in creating help documentation, including teaching videos and live presentations.
- Report & communicate improvements that can be made to the current data and/or software.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrable experience with Microvellum and 3D CAD applications such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Rhino, and Solidworks
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in the cabinet-making, cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, or millwork industry
- Familiarity with Excel formula structure and a good understanding of mathematical principles

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Industrial, or related) ; or Associate's degree in engineering (or related) / completion of trade school plus 2+ years of relevant work experience
SKILLS:
- Demonstrable experience in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)
- Agile development experience
- Ability to read & produce product CAD drawings and understand written specifications
