Description:

The Time & Attendance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Time & Attendance Administrator with billing duties, reviewing employee time records and Individual authorization information to ensure collectability of billings for employee hours worked.

Standards of Performance:

  9. Safeguards Premier property and reports any incident of theft, fraud, waste, or unauthorized possession of company property.
Relevant Duties:

1. Collaborate with county offices and billing and payroll team members to address timecard errors, manage overtime, answer DSP questions related to clocking & payroll systems as needed.

2. Identify and remediating exceptions, eligibility errors, and/or corrections with DSPs and supported Individuals' families/guardians to minimize unbillable supports.

3. Conduct ongoing review of employee time and attendance records to ensure accuracy and collectability of clocked hours.

4. Liaise with DSPs and county management teams to address inaccuracies in time-clocking activities.

5. Proactively compare time and attendance trends to related authorizations to prevent over-clocking of hours.

6. Identify inefficiencies between time clocked and authorized hours to maximize support opportunities for Individuals.

7. Identify opportunities to increase regular hours worked by existing DSPs and reduce reliance on overtime hours to provide Individual supports.

8. Review punch anomalies to identify and address errors in classification.

Education and Experience:
  1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  2. Billing & Payroll Experience (1 year preferred).
  3. Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software programs, with a particular focus on Excel and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Possess effective conflict resolution skills, problem solving skills, deductive reasoning, and leadership skills.

2. Strong written and verbal communication skills using tact, courtesy, and cooperativeness.

3. Computer experience, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and ability to use standard office equipment and software.

4. Ability to perform basic math functions.

5. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

6. Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.

7. Ability to perform instruction, monitoring, and assessment of the work of others.

8. Able to work with minimal supervision.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

1. Valid driver license, car insurance, and reliable transportation required.

Salary Description

$23-$25 per hour
