Field Sales Specialist (Remote D.C/MD/VA area)

Position: FIELD SALES SPECIALIST

Location: Remote, D.C / MD / VA area

Function

Reporting to the Director of National Sales, this individual will provide technical support to the field sales organization for the company, focusing on fast and sustained growth. The company has completed four acquisitions since 2019 and specializes in R&D, design, manufacturing, and marketing of radio frequency (RF) and Microwave (MW) components and sub-assemblies for advanced radar, signal intelligence, and communications equipment for military and commercial customers.

The company aims to build a diverse technology foundation with an agile vertical manufacturing base in RF/MW by integrating acquisitions that complement its current offerings in component and subsystem design and fabrication. It boasts a strong technical team, broad product range, and primarily operates within the domestic market.

The selected candidate will be responsible for educating and supporting the domestic representative and direct sales network, participating in quoting, trade shows, and customer visits. The role also involves significant interaction with engineering and production teams, serving as a key link between field sales and in-house operations.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant sales experience, preferably in RF/MW, for both custom-engineered and standard products.
• Technically confident with strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the interaction between internal operations and external sales functions.
• Proven ability to work with customers, salespeople, and technical professionals to specify and promote application-oriented products addressing specific customer needs.
• A team player, quick learner, open to new ideas, and capable of reconciling customer needs with technical solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, crucial for business development and customer interaction alongside the field sales team.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.

Compensation

The company offers a competitive package, including base salary and incentive bonus.

Organizational Relationships

This position reports to the company's National Sales Manager.

Location

This role is based in the Washington DC area. Domestic travel is required.
