Supervise, directly and through production supervisors, all aspects of the manufacturing process. This includes safety, administration at the plant site, planning, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, product development, environmental and technical compliance, and personnel management. Essential Functions - Direct production and manufacturing in accordance with established process and product specifications, quality standards, delivery schedules, and standard costs so as to continually improve the efficiency, economy, and safety of the operations. - Provide a safe work environment for employees that meet or exceeds regulatory compliance levels. - Work with suppliers and recommend to the Plant Manager the types of equipment supplies needed to maintain an efficient and up-to-date manufacturing facility. - Coordinate engineering on new projects as well as existing equipment upgrades.
