Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM

Salary: Wages start at $47.21($98,196.80)-$64.92($135,033.60) an hour. Starting wages are based on years of experience in the field.

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing a range of capital projects within the health system department which may include major capital repairs, renovations, base building retrofits, as well as ground-up, new facilities. The capital projects may encompass programming, design, budgets, proformas, team selection, construction management and commissioning. The Construction Project Manager will work with leadership and stakeholders to develop project goals and scope definition and then follow through with oversight of the execution of projects within targeted schedule and cost constraints. Multiple capital projects will be assigned and may involve the integration of infrastructure, critical systems and healthcare and/or IT equipment ranging from the very basic to the complex. Responsibilities to include ensuring that project design, implementation, new construction and/or retrofits meet all regulatory compliance and safety standards. Ensures optimum internal and external team performance to complete capital projects with high user group or occupant satisfaction.

Position Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 4 years of construction project management experience with a minimum of 1 year project management experience in health care construction
  • Experience in organizing multiple projects, multiple contractors and multiple design teams
  • Must have experience and working knowledge with state, local and federal building regulations
  • Technical understanding of project scheduling, budgeting and finance, CAD, and project management software
  • Experience with state, local and federal building regulations regarding land-use, zoning, building permits or licensed medical facilities
Preferred Experience
  • Medical buildings or healthcare project experience involving complex equipment, infrastructure or systems or projects
  • General contracting background
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Facilities Management or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Master's Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Architecture, Construction Management or Finance is preferred
Certification/Licensure
  • Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past 5 years and proof of insurance may be required
Preferred Certifications/Licensure
  • Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC)
  • Registered Member of ASHE, OSHE or equivalent organization
  • Project experience with FGI, Oregon Health Authority, OSHA, NFPA compliance standards.
  • PMP: Project Management Professional
  • Journeyman or equivalent status in construction related trade
