Assistant Manager Residential Supports

Supervises the general, daily activities of the residential program(s) as defined by client plans, agency policy and procedure, as well as state requirements. Provides hands-on supervision of other direct care staff within the program site.

Assist and maintain on-going record keeping in the form of house logs, client charts, incident reports, scheduling calendars for appointments, data collection from plans.

Assist and maintain all receipts from purchases made, such as food shopping, household equipment and maintenance records.

Communicate information to Program Managers, Area Coordinators, case managers, parents, advocates, other staff, as related to client services, upcoming activities, or future care needs. Arrange all client transportation as needed.

Supervise all assigned staff in the delivery of direct services to individuals in the residential site. Collaborate with the Program Manager when conflicts between employees or performance issues are in question.

Assist in schedules and staff meetings on a regular basis. Document staff meetings in an ITEM, DISCUSSION, ACTION format. Delegate responsibilities for rotating chairperson and minutes collection.

Collaborate with the Program Manager for all staffing related needs, including, but not limited to, assignment of staffing (scheduling), substitution, overtime approval, and training needs.

Complete all agency-required documentation, which relates to on-going care or agency expectation functions.

Collaborate with each Program Manager to resolve outstanding client care or agency expectation functions.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager(s) or designee specifically connected to either the residential site, individual clients, agency need, or demonstrated expertise.

Represent management of the organization.

Must:

Be bondable

Maintain professional conduct and image.

Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written form.

Lift weight both manually and through the use of mechanical aids like Hoyer lifts to enable individuals to transfer to/from wheelchairs, beds, bench seating, changing tables, and or other areas.

Assist Program Manager to plan, design and implement client based activity.

Manage time effectively, handle multiple projects at any given time, and prioritize competing activities and deadlines.

Maintain O.I.S. certification.

Supervise peers.

Maintain confidentiality with regard to client, as well as staff/personnel issues.

Have at least entry level computer usage skills, or be willing to gain these skills through company offered training.

Possess at least a high school diploma, or GED.

Have at least 2 years of Direct Care Services or Equivalent.

Possess a valid Oregon driver's license and meet Living Opportunities driving requirements.

Pass a drug screen and physical/functional testing.

Participate in CPR and First Aid Certification training within thirty days of employment (or as soon as classes are available thereafter).
