Welder/Fitter
Wage: $20-$25 DOE

A local South Oregon company is searching for a full-time Structural Steel Welder who will spend the majority of the workday fabrication Steel beams. You are going to beprovided the latest equipment and have the chance to operate within a clean and climate-controlled workspace.

Want to be our newest team member? You should have experience in using electrical or manual tools, along with being familiar with warehousing and delivery related processes. All welders will do a little bit of everything. We do not have just lay out, or just fab, or just shop people, you must be well rounded in all aspects. You may grind, paint, run forklift, and various other things throughout the day.

You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Your role is a critical area for incoming and outgoing projects for our clients. Our staff, including our welding teams will work independently, taking the lead on safety reporting and tracking, acting as an internal resource for recommendations for design.

What we look for in MIG Welders:

• Read and understand shop drawings
• Being able to operate forklift, man lift, shears, brakes, and power tools
• Lay out and fabrication Skills
• Must be able to pass a Weld Test:
• 7018 Flat/Vertical
• 1/8" rod
• .045 dual Shield wire
• Would prefer min. 2 years of structural experience
